Hello everyone!!! This is my latest creation, a handmade wooden book box...
Step by step tutorial:
I took a plain wooden box, and painted it in black...
Ho presso una scattola di legno, e l'ho pitturata di nero...
Blue and white acrylic paint...
Pittura acrilica azzurro e bianco...
Trees in black...
Alberi in nero...
Trees in dry modeling paste...
Alberi in argilla...
I have painted the trees, using black acrylic paint, and added some faux green...
Ho pitturato gli alberi, con della pittura acrilica nera, e ho aggiunto un pò di finta erba...
I added this dragon, made out of dry modeling paste...
Ho aggiunto questo dragone, che ho fatto con della argilla...
I coloured the dragon using white gesso; green, violet and gold acrylic paints...
I added some faux earth, beneath the dragon and made drops, with 3D yellow paint...
Ho pitturato il dragone, con del gesso bianco e della pittura acrilica, verde, viola e oro...
Ho aggiunto un pò di terra finta, sotto il dragone e ho fatto delle gocce, con della pittura 3D gialla...
I used stucco and a plastic tool...
Ho usato dello stucco e un attrezzo in plastica...
I used Deco Art fluid acrylics and antiquing cream...
Ho usato fluidi acrilici della Deco Art e della crema anticante...
I glued down some pieces, of scrapbooking paper...
Ho incollato dei pezzi, di carta di scrapbooking...
I sandpapered the box's borders...
Ho grattato un pò i bordi della scattola...
I have coloured them...
Gli ho colorati...

I prepared a booklet in this way...
Ho preparato un libretto in questo modo...
Double sided adhesive tape...
Nastro biadesivo...
I have glued down, another piece of cardboard, painted it and sealed it...
Ho incollato, un'altro pezzo di cartoncino e, l'ho colorato e sigillato...
I added some Deco Art crackle paint, with a soft brush...
Ho aggiunto della pittura craquelè, con un pennello soffice...
After a few hours...
Dopo un pò di ore...
I have painted it...
L'ho pitturato...
I started colouring the pages...
Ho iniziato a colorare le pagine...
I have used different stencils...
Ho usato delle maschere diverse...
I made an egg out of, dry air modeling paste and metal pins...
Ho fatto un'uovo con dell'argilla e chiodi di metallo...
I have used Deco Art, antiquing cream in all the metal embellishments...
I have painted the egg, in the same colours, I had painted the dragon...
I prepared two tiny bottles, using glue, paints and mini artstones...
Ho usato della crema anticante, su tutti gli adorni di metallo...
Ho colorato l'uovo, negli stessi colori del dragone...
Ho preparato due bottigliette, con della colla, pittura e pietrine...

DeleteNora, this box is the most incredible thing! What a work of art! I can hardly believe you sculpted that amazing dragon, how incredible! I'm really taken by the beautiful album inside with the "dragon egg" dangling and little vials. The pages with the deer remind me of a great scene in Harry Potter.
