Hello, this is my recently made, altered canvas...

Step by step:

First of all, I took a plain canvas and glued on it some tissue paper all over the surface...
I took a plain metal butterfly and did the same thing...
I created a design on the butterfly surface, using the hot glue gun..
Under the butterfly I added some pieces of cloth...
On the middle of it, I added an old key wrapped in pieces of tulle...
I used some art stones, as well...
I glued everything down with white school glue...
I applied gesso on everything...

I created some drops with the hot gun...

 Gesso, as well...

I added some paper flowers and other embellishments too...

Gesso, as well...

I added some green sisal...

Then, I painted everything using acrylic paints, Deco Art products (fluids, shimmer paint, crackle paint), Marabu paints (metallics, glossy, 3-liners)...
